The Cross Country team raced at Seneca East Tiger Classic. It was their first race and they persevered even in this heat!
The HS Girls race consisted of 195 girls representing 31 teams running a 5k. Meagan Them earned a medal with her 23rd place finish in a time of 21:31. Deborah Crouch and Joy Adams also represented the Flames with Deborah at 28:46 for 157th place and Joy finishing 187th place in 33:56.
The HS Boys were next to take to the 3.1 mile course. Andre Harrison led the team, earning a medal with a 17:55 for 23rd place. In a race with 200 athletes, Seth Them 21:04 (110th), Isaac Delp 22:06 (140th), Nicholas Adams 22:21 (144th), Cooper Stigall 22:39 (149th), Gavin Webb 23:11 (159th), Ben Williams 25:32 (197th).
In the JH Girls 2 mile race with 26 teams represented and 126 young ladies, Mirielle Trumpower earned a spot on the podium with a runner up finish in a time of 12:11. Lacy Defrancisco finished 45th in a time of 15:04.
For the JH Boys 2 mile race there were 144 athletes that finished the course. Grantham Trumpower led his team with a time of 11:11, good for runner up and a podium finish. Adam Them also finished on the podium in 12th place in a time of 12:08. Caleb Miller was 38th in 13:13, Max Weeks 75th with a 14:20, followed closely by Hudson Stigall in 77th place 14:25, Nathan Marks 108th in 15:47 and Samuel Clark 123rd in 16:52. The JH boys finished 8th overall as a team out of 27 teams represented.
