Tips for taking the ACT .

Taking the ACT prep test can be intimidating and scary, I’ve found studying for a test is one of the best ways to succeed so why not study For the ACT? having that said its hard to know exactly how to study in the most effective way. so through this article, I can hopefully give you some tips to help.


  • Know exactly what subjects your studying for.
  • Know what you can and cannot use during the ACT you may be able to use a calculator for one part of the test and not the other maybe you need to brush up on square roots or your multiplication tables.
  • Start early don’t cram studying for the ACT the night before. you can often get test dates from teachers or whoever administrates the test.
  • Vitalize your sources….. There are many practice test online or even at the library
  • Start practicing early .
  • Practice every subject idea you may not think you need to go over something for example long division you may need too .
  • Color code things that help you remember an important idea write down what you need to do .
  • Start with you least favorite subject and move on to something you like more or vise versa .
  • Stay organized have a place and time said aside to study .
  • Don’t overwork yourself and stress yourself out  make sure you’re not staying up all night to study if you set enough time in advance  you can do an hour or thirty minutes a day .
  • Study  with others (this may be a fun and less stressful way to study).
  • Ask for help (there are so many ways you can get help either online or in-person by a teacher or friend )
  • Maintain a positive attitude don’t say things like I’m going to flunk this test try not to focus on test anxiety Give it to God and pray about it he understands.
