United States V.S Iran

All over the news and social media there is gossip about what is going on with the U.S. and Iran. it all began on January 3, 2020 when President Trump had a drone flown over to the Baghdad airport in Baghdad Iran to drop a missile on a caravan leaving the airport. The caravan contained leaders of Iraq militia groups and Iranian Major General Qassem Suleiman. The president claimed this ambush was used to avoid terrorist groups that planned to attack the states. The citizens of Iran were upset with this situation and there was talk of “severe revenge” from analysts, and that Iran not retaliating would be a sign of weakness. And because not retaliating is deemed shameful, Iran had to fight back, launching missiles that struck U.S. facilities located in Iraq. The Washington Post stated that America had planned for a counter attack from Iran very soon after the death of Iran’s Major General, and not only did they know an attack was on its way, but U.S officials knew that Iran would be specifically attacking the American facilities in Iraq. Around the world people started getting worked up about what this confrontation could lead into. This lead to an outbreak of memes about “World War III”, but analysts also stated that they did not think Iran was in any mood to participate in a war with the United States. Unfortunately, this is not the first time that Americans have had a World War III scare. In December of 1941 the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor which led Americans to believe that another world war would take place, but fortunately it did not.
